Situated in Kent, England, the Harrington Franklin storage project is poised to add a 50 MW capacity to the British grid, equating to 100 MWh of energy production or two hours of storage. Scheduled for operational commencement in 2025, this project is set to bolster grid flexibility and optimise the equilibrium between energy supply and demand. EDP’s Business Plan for 2023-26 aims to achieve a global storage capacity exceeding 500 MW.
